BEPPO (1943) (Jean LAUGIER, dit) Free-form sculpture in stainless steel, forming the base of a coffee table, 1987 Square glass top on structure H. 48 cm Tray dimensions: 110x110 cm Signed on the stainless steel BEPPO and dated 87 Jean Laugier, known as BEPPO, is a sculptor from Draguignan who has been working there for over 60 years. He has worked with Albert Féraud, José Rogerio Nadal and Jean-Pierre Rives. Since the late 1960s, Beppo has always used all kinds of materials to build and juggle with shapes, colors and patinas. From the 1980s onwards, stainless steel became his preferred material.
