Louis XVI style terminal clock with gilt bronze base surmounted by an Amour à la Colombe in black patinated bronze
Hand-wound mechanical clock
The white enamel dial features hours in blue enamel Roman numerals.
The hands are in gilded steel with foliate decoration.
The winding squares are at 4 and 8 o'clock.
The gilded bronze base with enameled porcelain plate, decorated with scrolls, flowers and acanthus leaves.
The black patina bronze putti atop the clock appears to be holding a missing torch.
Napoleon III period
Dial signed BOLLOTTE RUE VIVIENNE PARIS (partially faded) and movement signed BOLLOTTE Paris.
Stem balance movement.
With winding key and balance wheel.
Functional.
H. 31 cm
Accident to the dial enamel, worn patina.
BOLLOTTE was awarded the title of Master in 1840.
